Gary Kenneth Pringle, 62, of Scranton passed away, surrounded by his family, on Friday, May 27th at Geisinger Medical Center Scranton, after an illness. Born February 4th, 1960, in Scranton, Son of the late David Pringle Sr and Donna Gail Rosencrans-Taylor, he was a graduate of Scranton Tech High School. He enlisted in the United States Army. After his tour of duty, he was employed by Kane Warehousing for many years. While serving with the 814th Quartermaster Company, United States Army Reserve, Bloomsburg, he deployed for Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom, and to El Salvador for a relief mission. He retired at the rank of Staff Sgt. after 24 years of service. At the time of his death, he was employed by Tobyhanna Army Depot. Gary was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, lover of classic cars and car shows, and best friend to his Husky, Mosul. He could often be found tinkering on cars with one of his sons. Gary was a former member of VFW Post # 3451 of Scranton, Scranton, where he also served as Post Commander. The loves of his life were his beloved granddaughters, who enjoyed spending time with their Poppy. Everyone will remember Gary by his infectious smile and laughter. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his Sons, Nicholas, (Ashley), Bloomsburg, and Jordan, (Amanda) Exeter. Granddaughters, Emma, Gabriella, and Arielle Pringle. Brothers David Pringle, Jr (Connie), Scranton, John Taylor Jr (Lisa), Archbald, Paul Taylor (Dorothy), Scranton. Sisters Donna Benjamin (Allan), Scranton, Barbara Conolly, Scranton, Storm Talluto (Vincent), Dickson City, and Stepfather, John Taylor Sr. Scranton. Several Nieces and nephews, including his God Children, Jessica Jones and Mason Taylor. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth and Stepmother Suzanne Pringle. A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday June 4th, 2022 at 12p.m. at the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home at 1240 St. Ann Street in Scranton with Military Honors to Follow. Family and Friends may call on Friday From 5p.m. until 8p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private and held at the Convenience of the Family.
