Daniel M. Silsby Obituary

Daniel M. Silsby, 20, of West Pittston, passed away Sunday, October 1 st , 2023, unexpectedly at

home.


Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Sandra Colleran and attended Wyoming Area High

School.


Daniel was a handyman and loved fixing all sorts of things including trying to figure out how

things worked. He loved working on cars or anything that included working with his hands.  


He loved family vacations, the beach, fishing, hunting, animals, video games, roller skating,

making fires and being outdoors. He was like a big brother to all his little cousins and loved to

make people laugh. He loved his annual fishing trip with Grandpa, uncles and cousins to NY. He

was once chosen by Cabelas to compete in the future Anglers of America.


Daniel was preceded in death by his Maternal Great grandmother, Shirley Embleton, and

paternal grandparents, Frank and Agnes Silsby.


He is survived by his mother, Sandra Colleran, maternal grandparents; Mike and Debbie

Colleran, uncle and aunt, Mike and Kim Colleran, Aunts Shirene Biga, Patsy Bankos, and Cathy

Wolfe. Aunt Danielle and Uncle Anthony Milunic, Uncle Chris Miller and Aunt, Anna Tressa,

Aunt Shirlee Morrow and Uncle Allen, Aunt Callie Miller, Stanley Booths and family. Stanley

was like a stepfather to Daniel, girlfriend Gia Petty, his dog Loki and several cousins.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing for Daniel which will be held on Friday

October 6 th , 2023, from 4pm until 6pm at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming

Avenue, West Pittston.  A service will be held at 7pm.   Interment will be private and held at the

convenience of the family. Friends and family are to come comfortable as Daniel didn’t like a lot

of fuss.


In lieu of flowers or memorial donations in Daniel’s name can be made to Blue Chip at 974

Lockville Road, Dallas, Pa 18612 or to the National Institute on Drug Abuse at Financial
