Obituary of Thomas W. Daniels
Thomas W. Daniels passed peacefully on Thursday January 2nd, surrounded by family in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
He was the son of Lucy Vosburg and Benjamin Daniels II. He lived in Harding until his retirement, when he purchased a house on Lake Oneida. He was a graduate of the West Pittston High School.
Thomas did return back to Monroe township, to be closer to family. He was an active member of the Larksville American Legion Post # 665, and supported many organizations helping veterans.
He began his career at the Stanton Power Plant, and became a first-class lineman for PPL Electric for the
remainder of his career, where he was affectionately known as “Nutzy.”
Thomas had a love for fishing, gardening, and growing beautiful flower beds, but an even bigger love for fast cars and car shows. He made friends wherever he went, and was always laughing and joking. He thoroughly enjoyed home improvement projects of his own, and helping others with theirs.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Ellen Elders (Cal), Lucy Vasko (Don), brother Benjamin Daniels and a niece, Wendy Morton Hannon.
He is survived by his brother Donald (Karen), nieces Melanie Daniels Mann (Michael Mann) and Stephanie Daniels-Costa (Patrica Costa), nephew, Scott Morton, great niece Lucy Costa, his companion Rosemary Kravitz, and additional nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held on Saturday January 11th, 2025 at 11am. at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston with Pastor Kelly Groves, officiating. Relatives and friends may attend a viewing for Thomas from 9:30am. until Service time at 11am. Interment with Military Honors will follow the Service in Mountain View Cemetery, Harding.
