It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Elizabeth C. Gordon at the age of 98. She passed away Saturday evening in Allied Skilled Nursing, Wilkes Barre with her family by her side.
Born in Pittston on March 26th, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Ruth Naugle Hilbert.
Elizabeth also known as Betty and GG, was a remarkable woman who lived a life full of love. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a great-grandmother. She had a unique ability to make each person feel valued and loved, and her family was the center of her world.
She was employed up until her retirement at Acme Markets for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, William Sr., son, William Gordon Jr., granddaughter, Leandra Gordon Scalph, sister, Marjorie Hite, brothers, John, Russell, Ernie, and William Hilbert.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Ruth Price (Joe), Exeter, grandchildren, Kim Davis (Michael), Elizabeth Coyne, Joseph Price (Michelle), great-grandchildren, Emily Davis, Michael Davis, Katlyn Coyne, Kirsten Coyne, Molly and Daniel Price, sister, Joan Frame, Arizona, daughter in law, Diana Gordon, and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held on Thursday morning with a visitation from 10am. until 11am. at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston. A service will be held 11am. Monsignor John Sempa from Corpus Christi Parish, officiating. Inurnment will be held in Mountain View Cemetery, Harding.
