
Obituary of Daniel J. Halapin
Daniel J. (Danny) Halapin, 58, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday evening January 22nd, 2025 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. after a brief illness.
Born on January 1st, 1967 in Bridgeport, Connecticut he was a son of Bernard M. Halapin Sr and Verna Weitz Weiskerger. He attended Pittston Area High School.
Danny in his younger years was employed by Vullo’s Inc, Dupont where he acquired most of his skills as a Diesel Mechanic and Tow truck driver. He has been employed for many years and was a loved and valued employee at Falzone’s towing, Wilkes-Barre.
He was so loved and will forever be missed. Danny’s heart may have failed his body, but the love that it produced was immeasurable and unconditional.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Donald Weiskerger Sr., grandparents, Harold and Pearl Lynn Weitz, George Lynn, Bernard J. and Mary Halapin.
Danny is survived by his parents, Verna Weiskerger, Wyoming, Bernard M. Halapin Sr., (Donna), Beacon Falls, Ct., brother, Bernard M. Halapin Jr., Dupont, sister, Stacey Moyer (Jason), Newport News, Va., children, Christina Brewen (Jacob), Simpson, Michael Halapin, Moscow, Daniel J. Halapin Jr., Carbondale, his pride and joys, his beloved grandchildren, Kacydi and Ethen Brewen, Jacob and Mason Halapin and Hailey Lesh, partner, Alexis Sherinsky and her daughter, Cheyenne Hughes (Robert), nieces, nephews, cousins, and his second family at Falzone’s.
A Service will be held at 11am. Tuesday with Pastor James Quinn, officiating at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston. Interment will then follow in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wyoming. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing for Danny on Monday January 27th, 2025 from 4pm until 8pm at the Funeral Home.
