Frank A. Pugliese Jr. Obituary

Frank A. Pugliese Jr. of West Wyoming, passed away on Wednesday at Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre. 


Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Frank, Sr. and Ann (Piedmont) Pugliese. 


He was a 1969 graduate of Pittston Area High School and earned a Bachelors and  Masters degree in Business Administration from College Misericordia. Frank honorably served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve. 


He was also a member of various community organizations including Westmoreland Club, Fox Hill Country Club, Italian-American Citizens Club, Free Masons and Royal Order of Jesters, Irem Temple Shriners and the Order of Odd Fellows. During his professional career, Frank worked in the healthcare industry and educational system. 


He is survived by his wife, Janet (Bienias), stepdaughter, Caitlin Foley; brothers, Ronald (Judy), Nicholas; sister, Kathryn (Richard) Yaniello; several nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; many friends he considered family; and his beloved cats, Bernardo, Belle, Angelina, and Cosmo.


A visitation will be held on Tuesday March 4th, 2025 in St. Joseph Marello Parish (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church)  237 William St., Pittston, from 12:30-2:00 PM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2pm. Father Paul McDonnell will be the celebrant.  Private internment will be held at the convenience of the family.


Memorial donations can be made to ASPCA of Luzerne County and Blue Chip Animal Rescue.
