Obituary of MaryLou M. McNevin

Mary Lou McNevin peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at home in Plains Twp. 

She was born on June 2, 1950 in Pittston Pa., the daughter of the late Edward and Helen McNamara McNevin. Mary Lou was a graduate of Saint John the Evangelist High School and Pittston Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a travel nurse working for many years in Rancho Palos Verdes California. After leaving California she worked for Johnson and Johnson in the clinical trial research program in Doylestown, Pa. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the beach and visiting New York City.

Mary Lou is survived by her siblings Colleen Stone (Donald) Venice, Florida, Ann Ryan (Edward), Venice, Florida, Michael McNevin (Anne) Nanticoke, Pa. and Michele Davies (Brian) Venice, Fl. She is also survived by her nephews, Colin McNevin and Kyle Stone and her nieces, Courtney Stone and Jesse McNevin.

A memorial Mass will be held at St John the Evangelist Church 35 William Street , Pittston, on Saturday May 31st at 11:00am.  Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.    There will be no calling hours

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Heart Association. 

Arrangements are by the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston.
