Howard William Price, 94, of West Pittston, passed away Friday July 25th, 2025 in Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Harding, he was a son of the late William and Bessie Hawk Price.  He attended West Pittston High School,

Howard was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston.

Howard grew up as a hands on worker.   He could do just about anything from roofs, basic construction and he was also a furnace specialist for many years retiring from Techniglass.

He loved his family.   Nothing was more enjoyable to him than spending time with them.  From when he was a child and into adult hood he loved fishing in the river.   He spent a lot of time in the river and woods near his house.  Howard was a licensed hand held radio operator.  He also back in the day loved taking bike rides with his son.

Howard was preceded in death by his brothers, Lee, Gene and Lewis Price, sister, Dorothy.

He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years the former Josephine Butera, son Robert Price and is wife Ellen, Dupont, grandson, Jon Price, Dupont, brother, Harold Price, Harding, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday morning at 10am. In the Mountain View Cemetery, State Route 92, Harding.  Father Paul McDonnell will officiate. Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the cemetery for 10am.

Interment will follow.  There are no calling hours.
