Richard L. Lunny Sr. Obituary

Richard Lee Lunny, 69, of Exeter, passed away Saturday morning August 2nd, 2025 in Allied Hospice, Wilkes Barre.

Born in Meshoppen, he was a son of the late Daniel and Rosemary Dulsky Lunny.  He was a graduate of the Wyoming Area High School Class of 1975.  Richard was a member of Corpus Christi Parish (Holy Redeemer) Church, Harding.

Richard was employed as a Foreman for Pisano fencing for many years and then as a machine operator for over 20 years at Cascade Tissue.

He loved his family and especially his grandchildren.  Richard had a love music.   Oldies were his thing and he had quite the collection.   He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Philles fan.  Richard also loved muscle cars.   Especially his Camero that he used to own.   Anyone who knew Richard knows about his laugh.   In a room of people, his laugh would stand out.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bradley Lunny, and a sister Patricia Lunny.

Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Deborah Klimas, Children, Richard Jr, and Christine Lunny, Exeter, Karey Kovitch and her husband James, Wyoming, Robert Lunny, Exeter, grandchildren, Madison and Morgan McVicar, Owen and Lucas Kovitch, and Sam and Kayla Kulick, brother, Daniel Lunny, Williamsport, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held at a date to be determined by Richard’s Family.
