Carol A. Kearney Obituary

Carol A. Manganiello Kearney, 91, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 10th, 2025 in Bradenton, Florida.


Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Louis J. and Marjorie Quinn Manganiello.  She was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School and Lackawanna Junior College. 


She was a valued employee in the electronics industry retiring as an office Manager from Transcat Electronics.  Carol lived a life defined by her love of family, lifelong friendships, strength, and faith.  She was happiest when she was preparing for for gatherings of family and friends. 


Carol was an Honorary lifetime member of the Pittston Jacqueline’s, lifelong member of the VFW ladies Auxiliary, Glendora, New Jersey. She was also a member a former member of St. John the Evangelist Church until she moved to South Carolina.  Carol was a member of the St. Ann’ Church, Rick Hill, South Carolina.


She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph J. “Buster” Kearney Jr., beloved son, Joseph J. Kearney III, brothers, Carmen and Kenneth Manganiello and son-in-law, Donn Parker.


Carol is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Pisano and her husband Gene, Exeter, Shirley Lattwein and her husband Werner, Florida, Susan Gomez, South Carolina, grandchildren, Gino Pisano, Brandon (Myra) Parker, Shannan (Alex) Winchester, great-grandchildren, Ozzy, Joni Parker, Gino, Nicholas Pisano, Ari Kerber and Porter Winchester, sister, Margie Greenberg and brother, Louis Manganiello, and several nieces and nephews.


A visitation will be held on Saturday August 30th, 2025 from 9am. until 10am. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston.   A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10am. with Father Paul McDonnell, celebrant.   Inurnment will follow in the Parish Cemetery, Pittston.


In lieu of Flowers may be made to the Care and Concern Clinic at St. John the Evangelist Church, 25 William Street, Pittston.


Arrangements are by the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston.
