Jolene Salvo Obituary

Jolene Peggy Salvo, Christian, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and

friend to many, peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday morning October 15th, 2025 surrounded by the love she so generously gave throughout her life.

Born in York County, Pennsylvania, to George and Frances Sterner, she grew up with

deep roots in family, faith, and community. A proud graduate of Red Lion High School,

she continued her education at York Business College, preparing for a life defined by

family and devotion to others.

In her early years, she moved to New York City, where she worked for TWA and met her

husband of 60 yrs, Charles (Charlie) Salvo, a native of Pittston. Together, they built a

home dedicated to family and to raising their two wonderful children Sharon Ehret of

Exton, PA and Chuck Salvo of Flagler Beach, FL.

She devoted her life to her family and doted on her children and three grandchildren,

Abby, Lauren and Allie. In her later years her heart overflowed with joy when she

became a great-grandmother, cherishing every moment she spent with Payton,

Neyland, Harry, Harlow, Claire and Charlie.

Upon retirement from a travel and retail career, she found purpose and community

working alongside friends in her Methodist church, as well as through her volunteer

efforts with Hospice and other meaningful organizations. Her compassionate spirit and

genuine warmth touched every life she encountered.

She also loved her Book Club Flamingo Sisters, Bev, Grace, Kris, Marion, Nancy, and

Phyllis, a circle of friendship that brought endless support, laughter, and stories that will

last beyond a lifetime. She cherished these women and how they were always there for

each other in the good times and bad.

Her free time was often spent traveling with her husband to visit their children,

grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was deeply grateful for all of them.

To know her was to know kindness, genuine care, and love. Her legacy will live on in the

countless lives she brightened through family, friendship, and faith.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon and husband Ed, son Chuck and wife Barbara:

her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all of whom will carry her love forward.
