Elizabeth M. Harrison-Kratz Obituary

Elizabeth M. (Betty Mae) Harrison-Kratz, 85, entered into eternal rest, on November


1st, 2025, at the home of her daughter, in Bedias, Texas


 


Born in Peckville, Pennsylvania on November 16th, 1939, she was the daughter of


the late John J. and  Mary C. Wopart-Harrison.


 


Betty was raised in West Pittston, Pennsylvania and was a graduate of St. John the


Evangelist High School. Pittston. She attended Lackawanna County Vocational School.


Prior to retirement, she was employed at Lackawanna County Healthcare Facility,


Peckville, for over 20 years.


 


Betty was a former parishioner at St. Thomas Aquainas


Catholic Church, Archbald, PA and it’s Alter and Rosary Society.


 


Prior to her illness, Betty enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland, on many occasions,


to visit her family. Every Tuesday and Thursday were her Bingo nights, she never


missed a Penn State Football game on Saturday, cheered for the Los Angeles


Chargers, but most of all, she enjoyed just spending time with her children and


grandchildren.


 


Surviving are her daughters, Cheryl Ann Fedor her husband, Christopher, with


whom she resided in Bedias, Texas, Mary Beth Strowsky, York, PA, 12 grandchildren,


10 great-grandchildren, a sister, Ann Marie Reed, Harding, PA. Three Nieces, including


her Goddaughter, Lois Nye, Dripping Springs, Texas and a nephew and her best friend Jeanne Barrett, who shared her love of all things Irish. 


 


In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved son, Frank J.


Kratz, Jr. and her infant sister, Eileen Harrison.


 


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday November 28th, 2025 at 10am. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 429 Church Street, Archbald.   Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 9am until the time of Mass in the church. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming and is private and will be held at the convenience of the family.


Arrangements are by the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston.
