Marilyn A. Tokar, 58, of Duryea, passed away Saturday  February 28th, 2026, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late John and Betty Jean Bechtold Sinoracki.  She was a graduate of Pittston Area High School.  After High School, she went to the Wilkes-Barre CTC and graduated from the L.P.N program.

She was employed for may years as an L.P.N at Wesley Village, Jenkins Twp.

Marilyn loved her family and especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchild.  She enjoyed family vacations, going out to eat, crafting, and also shopping on her favorite website Woot.

She was preceded in death by her son Brandon Tokar in 2003, and a brother David Sinoracki.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Tokara Tokar, Duryea, Justin Tokar, West Pittston, Ciara Tokar, Duryea, Kira Tokar, Kinzers, Pa, brother, Mark Sinoracki, West Pittston, grandchildren, Jada Tokar, Kayden Walker, Lucianah Walker, Pharaoh Astwood, Zakaiah Astwood, Isabella Tokar, Aubriella Tokar, Penelope Tokar and a great grandchild, Karter Lubinski, and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Saturday March 7th, 2026 from 9am until 10am. in Nativity if Our Lord Parish 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am. Father Michael Bryant will be the celebrant.   Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
