Anna Mae Nocera, 98, of Wyoming, passed away Monday March 2nd, 2026 in Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.


Born in Exeter, she was a daughter of the late Andres and Catherine Swaydis Gratzula.  She attended Exeter schools.  Anna was a member of Corpus Christi Parish (St. Anthony of Padua Church), Exeter.


Anna was employed by Topps Chewing Gum and then M and W Silk Mills until her retirement.


She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Anna was a devout Catholic and loved going to church.  She loved crocheting, Cooking, baking and loved her cat, Bootsy.  Anyone who knew Anna when you went to her house, she cooked enough to feed an Army.


Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Michael L. Nocera, 2005, daughter, Katherine Matthews, grandson, Charles Fritz, brother, Bernie Gratzula.


She is survived by her son, Michael J. Nocera, West Pittston, grandchildren, Christopher Fritz (Christine), Jennifer Fritz, Curtis Nocera (Nicole), Justin Nocera (Alison), great grandchildren, Gianna and Dominick Nocera, sister, Eleanor Roman and several nieces and nephews.


As per her wishes she will have private services and then be lais to rest with her husband in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming.


Arrangements are by Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston.
