With hearts filled with love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Barbara Agolino Davis, a woman whose kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion touched everyone who knew her. Born on February 2, 1952, Barbara lived a life guided by love—love for her family, her community, and the simple, meaningful moments that made life beautiful.
Barbara passed peacefully at home, Sunday March 22nd, surrounded by her loving family—a testament to the deep bonds she nurtured throughout her life and the love that surrounded her always.
Barbara grew up helping in her family’s restaurant, Agolino’s, where she learned the values of dedication, generosity, and welcoming others with an open heart. Those early experiences shaped the gracious, compassionate woman she became and remained throughout her life.
Barbara shared a beautiful, enduring bond with her husband, Robert, her partner and best friend. Their life together was one of laughter, companionship, and unconditional love.
Her greatest pride and joy was her son, Matthew, whom she cherished beyond words. She supported him through every chapter of life, celebrating his successes and offering endless encouragement.
Her heart was never fuller than when she became a grandmother. Wyatt, Rhys, and Estella brought boundless love and brightness into her days. They were her treasures, each one lighting up her world in their own special way.
Barbara was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jesse "Nana" Agolino; Aunt, Anna Agolino; mother, Elizabeth Martini Agolino; Father; Samuel Agolino, Brother; Joseph Agolino; Brother; Samuel Agolino Jr., Sister; Sandra Agolino Charney; Brother-in-law; Edward Quinn, Mother-in-law Elizabeth Davis and Father-in-law James Davis.
Surviving are her husband, Robert of Plains, son Matthew and Wife; Carla; Grandchildren, Wyatt, Rhys and Estella all of Moosic and Sister; Marie Quinn, Franklin, Tenn and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:3oam. Until 11am. in Corpus Christi Parish at 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will then take place at 11am. Private Burial will be held in the Dennison Cemetery.
