Claire F. Ferland Obituary
Claire F. Ferland, 83, of Laflin, passed away Friday evening in Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Clara Elliott Hornung. She was a graduate of Bishop Eagan High School. Claire was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin.
She was employed as at a medical office for many years until her retirement.
Claire loved her family. They were by her side until her passing. She also enjoyed bingo and going camping.
Claire was preceded in death by her Husband, Phillip Ferland in 2023.
She is survived by her children, Julie Ferland, Laflin, Kim Ferland and companion Mark Diskin, Augusta, Maine, Phillip Ferland, Pittsburgh, Mark Ferland and companion Donna Salerno, Old Forge, brothers Albert Hornung and wife Lorraine, Florida, and Paul Hornung, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.
As per Clarie’s wishes all funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
