Carol A. Sergio, 79, of Pittston, passed away Saturday morning, April 17, 2021, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late William Williams and Mary Hoover Williams. She was a graduate of Pittston High School and was a member of United Methodist Church, Pittston. Carol loved her family, especially her grand children whom she adored. She also loved being on her iPad while watching her television shows She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sergio, in 2006; brothers, Robert Williams, Archie Williams, James Williams, Wayne Williams; sisters, Charlotte Casterlin, Cathy "Taft" Nalaschi, Joan Williams; and three nephews. Carol is survived by her daughter, Martha Masher and husband, Eric, Pittston; brothers, William Williams and wife Betty, New York; Edward Williams and wife, Ruth, Swoyersville; George Williams, West Pittston; sisters, Marybeth Mazonis and husband, James, Pittston; June Williams, Pittston; grandchildren, Christianna Masher and Erica Masher; and her godchild, James Mazonis Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. A service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Howell Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, with the Rev. Quinn officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines from the CDC and State will be followed and facial coverings are required. Internment will be held at the convenience of the family.
