She married Veterinarian, Dr. Robert Bishop in 1962, and moved to the Bishop family farm in Harding, Pa, in 1966. They had 2 children, Danie and Devon, both of whom tragically died within 2 months of each other in 2010. Kelly taught at the Wyoming Area Elementary School for 5 years, and taught voice and piano for over 50 years. In 1981, she, Robert, and her brother, the late T Doyle Leverett, founded the Music Box Dinner Playhouse in Swoyersville. The Playhouse was the first successful dinner theatre in this area and remains the 2nd oldest community theatre in NE PA. Kelly was general manager and music director for several years and performed several memorable roles on stage.
