Lawrence P. Christian

Lawrence P. Christian, 73, of West Pittston passed away Wednesday July 21, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Pittston to the late Lawrence and Della Sites Christian. Lawrence grew up in Harding and attended West Pittston Schools and Wilkes-Barre Vocational Technical School for Electronics.

He was employed by Topps in Duryea for 33 years prior to his retirement. Lawrence attended Valley Alliance Church, West Pittston. He had a passion for collecting old toys, especially matchbox cars. Lawrence loved to go camping and fishing with his family.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his Sisters Eva Richards and Loreli Weaver.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sandra (Searfoss) Christian Children, Wendy Hall, Swoyersville; Larry Christian, Avoca; and Laurie Lombardo, Duryea; grandchildren, Jonathan and David Lanius, Ryan and Nathan Lombardo, Lindsey and Joshua Christian; great-granddaughter Evellen Lanius, brother; Blaine "Sunny" Christian, and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday July 23, 2021, at Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc. 509 Wyoming Ave. West Pittston

Friends may call Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. till time of service at the funeral home.
