Grandma Gail made me a shimmery pink cape complete with a hood and Velcro snap. She pre-ordered the Harry Potter books for each of her daughter's families so that her grandkids could read the latest book as soon it came out. She's the reason I believe in dragons. And actually there was a period of time that I believed wholeheartedly that grandma was magic and that she would, in fact, turn my younger brother into a soup someday… Grandma believed that us cousins should be friends and found a camp for us to go to every summer to spend time together. She made the best chocolate chip cookies and she had an extensive library in the basement. Every time we'd ask her what she was reading she'd say I'm reading the strangest book. She loved to travel and often asked me about my latest adventures and where I'd be traveling to next. One of my favorite recent conversations with her was talking about all the animals (sheep) my sister Naomi and I saw in Ireland! She passed away only a few days after a family get together for 4th of July. It brings us all great comfort that her last days were around family and loved ones… especially after being apart for so long. Rest In Peace, Grandma Gail. We love you and miss you dearly ✨✨
