Alan J. Skursky, 54, passed away July 16th, 2021 in Jupiter Memorial Hospital In Florida. Born on October 25, 1966 in Jersey City New Jersey he was the son of the late Leonard L. Skursky and Ethel May Kittle Skursky .
He attended school in Jersey City and moved to Pa in 1984 with his family. In the late 1980s he coached the Swoyersville Sailors football team, he was a member of the Exeter Park Volunteer Hose Company where he became the assistant fire chief.
Alan moved to Washington D.C. and earned the rank of first battalion fire chief with the Washington D.C. Fire Department. He retired and moved to Jupiter Florida with his wife Sandy in 2019.
Surviving Alan is his wife of over 30 years Sandra Snyder Skursky, Jupiter Florida (from Pringle Pa), Son Nicholas Skursky USN, Daughter in law Heidi Erin Alford Skursky, Grandchildren, Julia and Nicholas Jr.,
Brothers Leonard J. Skursky, Old Forge, Donald E. Skursky Exeter, Michael Skursky of Pocono Lake, Dale Skursky of Wilkes-Barre, Paul Skursky of Exeter, Joel Skursky of Pittston, Sister Cheryl Skursky Pipher , Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
There will be a Memorial Service held at the Pringle Volunteer Hose Company at 91 Evans Street in Pringle on Saturday September 11, 2021 from 2p.m. to 5p.m. for Friends and Family to attend.
Local arrangements are by the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., at 509 Wyoming Avenue in West Pittston.
