Ronald P. Feifer, 77, of Forty Fort, passed away Tuesday evening in the VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre.
Born in the Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Sidney and Dorothy Cohen Feifer and was a graduate of Saranac Lake High School in New York and was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish in Pittston.
After high school, Ronald enlisted in the United States Navy serving during Vietnam. In the Navy, Ron worked with Morse Code translating messages.
He was preceded in death by his brother Lawrence Feifer.
Ronald is survived by his wife, the former Maria Gammaitoni. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 3rd, 2022. Also surviving are his children, Eric Feifer and his wife Patrice of Forty-Fort, Robyn Cherinka and her husband Michael of Forty-Fort, his brother Gerald Feifer and his wife Joan of Drums, PA, his grandchildren, Emily and Sarah Feifer and Elizabeth and Samantha Cherinka, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Carverton.
Arrangements are by the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc. at 509 Wyoming Avenue in West Pittston.
