Albert "Cap" Capozucca, 84, passed away peacefully at Geisinger Wyoming Valley on May 28, 2021 surrounded by family.

Born on October 9th, 1936 in Pittston Township, he was the son of late Albert and Emma Mazzapicchi Capozucca. He was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish in Pittston.

He was a proud Alumni of the Milton Hershey school where he learned the trade of plumbing and heating. Having served overseas, he was a proud veteran of the army and dedicated to his country. He was a former co-owner of Capozucca Brothers Plumbing, Heating and Oil Company alongside his brother, Raymond for over 50 years.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents, was his brother, Reno Capozucca and Sister-in-Law, Catherine Capozucca.

Alberts favorite past times included spending time with family and friends. He loved to cook, but more importantly to eat the food. He enjoyed being outdoors, tending to his garden and all of his plants. He was an avid traveler with his favorite travel partner, his wife Patricia. One place you could have always found Cap was at McDonald's with the gang for their daily coffee.

Surviving are his wife, the former Patricia Bonczek of 58 blissful years, Pittston Township, son Allan Capozucca with his wife Lori of Pittston Township; Daughter Amy Esposito and husband Charles of Pittston Township, Granddaughter, Cara Capozucca and fiancée, Aaron Joyce of Pittston Township, Grandson Nicholas Esposito and wife Margaret of Hershey, Grandson, Anthony Capozucca of Pittston Township, Grandson, Evan Esposito of Pittston township, Brother Raymond Capozucca of Pittston Township, Sister in Law, Margaret Smicherko of Old Forge Brother-in-Law, John Bonczek and wife Clare of Avoca, and several cousins, nieces and nephews and all those who loved him dearly.

He was a dedicated member of the Pittston Township Lions Club, Pittston Township Volunteer Fire department, The Italian American Association of Luzerne County, Italian American Citizens Club, and was one of the founding members of the Pittston Township Little League.

He gladly sat with positions on the school of Plumbing and Heating at Luzerne County Community College, the Wilkes Barre Area Career and Technical Center Plumbing and Heating Board, the Greater Pittston Township Sewer Board and the Pittston Township Flag Association. Through Capozucca Bros, he was a proud member of the Pittston chamber of Commerce.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday June 1st, 2021 at 10a.m. at St. Joseph Marello Parish at 237 William Street in Pittston. The Family will receive friends from 9a.m. until Mass time at 10a.m. Interment will be held at the Convenience of the Family in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carverton. We ask that everyone attending follows the State and CDC guidelines for Covid 19.
