Charles A. Weed of West Pittston passed away in peace on July 7, 2022 at Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Exeter.

Charlie was a dedicated Keystone employee for many years. He thrived in the business of sales forming relationships with his clients, winning top awards and fueling his passion for automobiles. His spare time was spent enjoying anything to dowith cars.

Charlie had wonderful friendships with those who shared the same hobby of car talk, mechanics, drag racing and could be found every Monday night at the garage. He and his wife Karen spent many weekends watching Joe Amato drag racing across the United States.

He was a dog lover and shared his breed knowledge and unwavering patience with even the quirkiest dog behaviors, like those he encountered with his faithful friend Remus.  He was also known for his love of entertainment and movies. He never missed an opportunity to share his latest movie review or TV series recommendations and could be counted on to pass along a copy he had on DVD.

Charlie was given the gift of a second daughter, Amanda with his wife Karen. She was a vibrant and sweet girl who brought joy to the family in her short Three and a half years of her life. She predeceased Charlie and he was always grateful and astounded at the community response and tremendous supportduring her illness. Her memory lives on through the Amanda Josephine Weed Memorial Scholarship at Wyoming Area High School as a reminder of her brave and incredible fight against a neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer.
