Shirley Ann Sutter, 66, of Harding, passed away Friday evening July 8th, 2022 surrounded by her Family.
Born in Pittston, a daughter of the late Carl and Eileen McDonnell Nocek and was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish Holy Redeemer Church, Harding. Shirley worked at the Convalescent home, Ransome, Topps, Duryea and was also an Emergency Medical technician for the Harding/Mt. Zion Ambulance for many years.
She started a girls softball team in Harding/Falls many years ago. Shirley also coached the team that her daughter played on and attended all of her sons’ sporting events.
She loved going to all the casino’s, especially Atlantic City trips. Shirley loved her time at the beach and enjoyed Wildwood Crest and Ocean City, Maryland.
Shirley enjoyed camping trips to Knoebels Amusement Park for over 30 years, Disney trips with her family, and every year she took a cruise to different destinations. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Nocek, Mother-in-law Milded Sutter, and many uncles and Aunts.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 48 years, Glen Sutter, Children Tracey Cebula and her husband Joseph, Sons, Shawn Sutter and his wife Nikou and Eric Sutter, 8 Grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Father-in-law, Glen Sutter Sr., of Ransom and several Nieces and Nephews, Sister-in-law, Pam Neidich and husband Charles, Brother-in-law, Daniel Sutter and Wife Lisa.
The Funeral will be held on Friday July 15th, 2022 at 9:30am. From the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10a.m in Corpus Christi Parish Holy Redeemer Church on State Route 92, Harding. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Harding. Family and Friends may call on Thursday from 5p.m. until 8p.m. at the Funeral Home.
