Sue G. Williams, 84 years young, of West Pittston, passed away Thursday July 28th, 2022 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp., after a fall.

Born and raised in Harding (Mt. Zion), she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alberta Weiskerger Greenland and was a graduate of the West Pittston High School.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in West Pittston.   After High School Sue attended Mansfield University and then onto Bloomsburg University State Teachers College for her degree in Elementary Education.  As she continued her education, she received her Reading Specialist certification.  Sue was a teacher in the Wyoming Area School District.

She was a dedicated mother first and foremost.  She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.  She especially loved her role as Nana, Grandma and Great-Grandmother.  She had a beautiful, generous and quick-witted personality and always made people around her feel special.

Sue loved to shop, knit, read and be actively involved in her grandchildren’s lives.  She loved her church, and was active in the Church Choir, Class 18 and Women’s club.  Sue loved crafting, especially flower arrangements, and has created many centerpieces that are in the homes of many friends and family.  She loved to watch Penn State football and will be cheering them on this fall.

Sue married Warren Williams in 1960, and the couple had two children, Beth and Kenneth.  Warren passed away in 1981.

In November of 1985, Sue then married her high school sweetheart Ty Williams, and they recently renewed their vows in celebration of their wedding anniversary.  Ty and Sue together were a beautiful couple, and each other’s strongest support system and best friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Warren, Step-Son Rex Williams in 2013.

Sue is survived by her Husband Ty Williams, Daughter Beth Shutt and her husband Bill of Lewisburg, Son Kenneth Williams of West Pittston, Step-son Mark Williams of West Pittston, Gradnchildren, Kyle and Kerry Shutt, Amber and Dennis Williams, and Great-Grandchildren, Ruby and Lewis Williams.
