Ruth I. Eyet, 92, of Wyoming, passed away early Friday morning at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dallas.

Born on November 8th, 1929 To the late Archie and Iona Phoenix Eyet.  She was a longtime resident of Falls and Wyoming. Ruth was a graduate of the Noxen High School and was a life long member of the Dymond Hollow Community Church in Falls.

She was a member of ILGWU and worked in a number of local dress factories.  

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Race, Barbara Schrader, Eleanor Eyet and Lucille Logan, Brothers, Donald Eyet, Edgar Eyet, and James Eyet.

Ruth is survived by her son David Turk and his wife Christine, Granddaughters Michelle Turk and Rachel Turk, sisters, Doris Willets, Margaret Sohns and brother, Malcom Eyet, and many nieces and nephews.

Her granddaughters were the pride of her life and she enjoyed spending time with them.  Ruth was a great woman who always put everyone else before herself, and will be greatly missed. 

Per Ruth’s wishes all of the Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston.
