Obituary of Elizabeth A. Skursky
Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Skursky of Largo, Florida passed away Friday September 9th, 2022 at the home of her son Raymond J. Skursky Jr.
Born in West Pittston, July 14th, 1938. She was a daughter of the late William and Bernetta Nardozzi Stead and was a graduate of the West Pittston High School class of 1956. She worked for and retired from Social Security in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She was also involved in several small businesses with her husband Raymond J. Skursky Sr. Elizabeth resided in Harding, pa for 40 years. She moved to Florida in 2006 to enjoy time with her son.
Betty loved to so things: going to the beach, restaurants, shows, concerts, and exploring new places. Her favorite shows were Cirque du Soleil, Christmas Shows, country music concerts (she saw Toby keith 7 times) and Jersey Boys (Wicked is a close second).
Betty loves to walk 5 miles on the beach every day, she did so until about 4 years ago. In recent days, she would walk a mile and just enjoy the beauty of the sky, sand and surf. She loved flowers, nature, outdoors, and sunsets. On Saturday she enjoyed college football and on Sunday she was cheering for the Tom Brady!!
She loved being a wife and mom. Her boys were her priority, always!! She always had a positive attitude about everything in life
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond J. Skursky Sr, in 2000, son, Scott Allen Skursky in 2005, brother, William Stead in 2021.
Betty is survived by her son Raymond J. Skursky Jr., of Largo, Fl, Sisters Ann Musto, Hudson, Fl, Frances Rose Randazzo, West Wyoming, Pa.
A Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 11a.m. at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston, with the Rev. Paul McDonnell officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Harding. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10a.m. until 11a.m.
