Obituary of Eric M. Sutter
Eric M. Sutter, 37, of Harding, passed away Thursday September 22nd, 2022 unexpectedly at home.
Born in Kingston he is a son of Glen Sutter and the late Shirley Nocek Sutter and was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School Class of 2004. Eric was a member of Corpus Christi Parish (Holy Redeemer Church), Harding.
After High School Eric attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York.
He was employed by RK Hydro-vac, Pittston and Penn Dot.
Eric when he was a young man was a member of the Boy Scouts in Exeter Twp. Eric also played baseball for the West Pittston Little league which he was selected as an all-star member for each year he played. He was a star running back for the West Pittston Rams. In High School he took up Ice Hockey, track and field.
He loved snowboarding, golfing, fishing and traveling with his family on Knoebels family camping trips, beach trips, family cruises, and Disney World vacations. Eric enjoyed cookouts, movie nights, especially family gatherings during the Holidays.
Eric was a loving father to his two boys and loved spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother Shirley in July of 2022, maternal grandparents Carl Nocek in May of 2022 and Eileen Nocek in April of 1980, paternal grandmother, Mildred Sutter in April of 2022, Uncle and Godfather Leonard Nocek.
Eric is survived by his sons, Gavyn and Wyatt Sutter, father, Glen of Harding, sister Tracey Cebula and husband Joseph, Falls, brother, Shawn and wife Nikou, Drums, Paternal Grandfather, Glen Sutter, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday October 1st, 2022 at 12pm in Corpus Christi (Holy Redeemer Church) at 2435 State Route 92, Harding with Monsignor John Sempa as the Celebrant. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Harding. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Eric from 10am until 12pm at the Church.
