MaryAlice Robinson, 74, of Exeter, passed away Thursday evening at home.
Born in Port Griffith, Jenkins Township, a daughter of the late Alexander Sokol and Mary Magdalene Lulavage Sokol. She was a graduate of the Northeast High School class of 1966 and attended Misercorida College and King's College where she met her husband, James. She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Church in Jenkins Township and then St. Anthony’s in Exeter.
MaryAlice was employed at Fay’s -Phase Fashion Store as a buyer.
She loved musicals. In college, she wrote, directed and performed in many plays. She loved to sing, cook and be around people. MaryAlice had a great sense of humor and had a huge love for animals, especially her ferrets.
She was preceded in death by her husband James in 2011.
MaryAlice is survived by her children, Ethan-James Robinson and wife Selena of Allentown; Zachary Robinson of Exeter; Melody Alexis Robinson and husband James Hamill of Honesdale; five grandchildren, Levi Robinson, Cole and Lyla Robinson, and Cagney and Prudence Hamill; one sister, Justine Sokol Salvo and husband Chuck of Wall, New Jersey; one aunt, Florence Lulavage of Jenkins Township; one sister-in-law, Jan Robinson of Pittston Township; one nephew, Michael Salvo and wife, Danielle of Asbury Park, New Jersey; and one niece, Leigha Donovan and husband, Ryan of Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
MaryAlice always said, “It is better to laugh than to cry.” She would love for people attending the viewing on Wednesday evening to wear their favorite colors.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday evening between 5-8 p.m. at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20th at 11:00 a.m. at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, followed by the Interment in the West Pittston cemetery.
