Michael J. Lewis, 64, of Harding, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on April 13th, 2023.
Born in Buffalo, New York he was a son of the late Harry and Roberta Wing Lewis and was a graduate of Mount Everett High School, Sheffield, Mass.
After high school he attended Middlesex Community College where he graduated valedictorian with an associates degree and then attended Amherst College where he received a bachelor’s degree in Finance.
He was employed at Northeast Center for Independent living as a business analyst agile Q/A tester.
Michael was a member of the Hillside Haven Community Church, Clarks Summit.
He was a redeemed follower of his lord and savior Jesus Christ, and was a dedicated member of the local church, devoted husband, father, brother and steadfast friend to many.
Michael was a skilled woodworker and created beautiful carvings and kid’s toys that he enthusiastically shared with whomever crossed his path. He found joy in giving and could always be counted on to share his tools, bikes, time, or know-how to anyone who needed it.
He will be remembered for his quick laugh, sharp memory and selflessness in sharing and caring for others.
He was preceded in death by a brother David Lewis in 1976.
Michael is survived by his wife the former Susan Perrin. They would have celebrated 37 years of marriage on May 24th 2023, daughter, Elizabeth Lewis, San Francisco, Ca, Joshua Lewis, West Pittston, sister, Deborah Stockwell and husband Mark, Hope, Ma., Father and mother in law, James and Patricia Perrin, Harding, aunt, Ruth Bredbenner, Averill Park, NY, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Service will be held on Saturday April 22nd, 2023 at 1pm. In the Hillside Have Community Church at 232 Nobel Road, Clarks Summit, Pa 18411 with the Rev. Stephen Merkh officiating. Visitation and interment will be private for the family.
