Obituary of Frank R. Pietruszewski
Frank R. Pietruszewski, 72, of Pittston, entered into eternal rest on Sunday July 2nd, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary “Pepper” Parrick Pietruszewski and was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School.
After high school Frank went to King’s college where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business.
Frank worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue for over 30 years until his retirement.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus John F. Kennedy Council 372, Pittston where he was a third-degree knight.
Frank Enjoyed so much being with family and friends and always wanted to have a great time. He loved the outdoors, yardwork, and had a great sense of humor.
His legacy will be the kindness that he had for everyone.
Frank was preceded by his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Edith Straup, and nephew Robbie Straup.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years the former Susan Straup, brother-in-law, Robert Straup and wife Janet of Lindenwold, NJ, niece, Renee Straup and companion Andrew, Philadelphia, godchild, Joey Baclasky, Michigan, Uncle, George Parrick, Pittston, and many cousins and friends.
The funeral will be held on Monday July 10th,2023 from the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. in St. John the Evangelist Church 35 William Street, Pittston. Everyone is asked to go directly to church on Monday morning. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Relatives and friends may attend a viewing for Frank on Sunday July 9th, 2023 from 4pm until 6pm at the Funeral home.
In lieu of flowers or memorial donations may be made in Frank’s name to Meals on Wheels at 59 South Main Street, Pittston or the Care and Concern at St. John the Evangelist Church at 35 William Street, Pittston.
