Obituary of Carmella Coolbaugh
Carmella Barletta Coolbaugh, 71, of West Pittston, formerly of Exeter, passed away Thursday July 20,2023 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Carmella was born in Elizabeth Town, New Jersey on November 17, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Carmen and Stella (Kachinsky) Barletta and was a graduate of the West Pittston High School. She was also a member of St. Barbara's Parish ( St. Anthony's Church), Exeter and Saint Peter and Paul Parish Church, Plains Twp.
Carmella attended Exeter High School and worked in the restaurant Industry for over 40 years. She loved going to Atlantic City to see Wayne Newton and playing the slot machines.
In addition to her parents, Carmella was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Cary Coolbaugh, brother Joseph Barletta, sister MaryLou Day and her dog Beau.
Carmella is survived by her sons, Edward Foersch (Holly), Carmen Barletta, Bradley Barletta (Stacey) of Exeter, grandchildren, Brittney and Stephanie Foersch, Hannah and Nadale Foersch, Collin, Valerie and Ryan Barletta, and Bradley and Gianna Barletta, 2 Great grandchildren, Jaylee and Wesley McDermott, several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held on Wednesday morning July 26th, 2023 at 9:30am from the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10am in Saint Peter and Paul Parish at 13 Hudson Road, Plains Twp., with Father John Lambert as the celebrant. Interment will be in Saint Peter and Paul cemetery, Cemetery Street, Plains Twp. Relatives and friends may attend a viewing for Carmella on Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm at the Funeral Home.
