Obituary
Please share a memory of Pamela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Pamela A. Witczak, 65, passed away at her home in North Fort Myers, FL on 08/11/2023.

Prior to moving to Florida, she was a 27-year resident of Brookeville, MD. She was born in Akron, Ohio and grew
up in Las Vegas, NV most of her early life, spending much of her time with her best friend Cyndia at Lake
Mead.  In her youth, she was fluent in German, traveled to California to scuba dive, and owned a horse
named Kiddo. Married for 35 years to Jesse Witczak,

Pam was a dedicated mother. She is survived by daughters Lynea Witczak Oldfather and Devon Witczak, son Christopher Witczak, and grandson Kai
Oldfather.

She always encouraged her children to explore and expand their interests, whether it be for
careers or hobbies, and protected them fiercely from harm. She was heavily involved with their
education and extracurricular activities, but her support for other people did not stop with her children.
She was a volunteer for Tanterra Pool’s swim team as a rep, and an EMT for the State of Maryland for
the Sandy Spring and Laytonsville Volunteer Fire Departments for over ten years. She was a self-made
business woman who owned a patent for nursing nightgowns and started her own daycare business
after her first child was born. Jesse and Pam worked together as daycare providers for over 24 years. To
this day, many of the past children from the daycare think fondly of her. Pam was the Training Center
Coordinator and an instructor for Rescue One Training for Life in Gaithersburg, MD for 14 years,
teaching CPR and First Aid Classes. She was the primary caretaker of her parents in their final years.

Pam always had a love for nature, jogging, and animals. To the end, she never stopped having dreams of
one day building her own ranch and starting a therapy business. She was a woman who always looked to
improve the world around her and helped her family prosper. She will be missed terribly. Memorial
contributions in her memory may be made to Second Chance Wildlife Center (https://www.scwc.org/).

A Celebration of Life will be held on the 30th of December in Maryland at Sandy Spring Friends Meeting
House from 3:00PM-6:00PM. If you would like to be informed of the service details, please contact
Lynea (lynearenee@gmail.com) or Chris (cwitczak6@gmail.com).
