Carl Donald Frederick, 84, of Harding, passed away Wednesday September 20th, 2023 at his home.

Born in Pittston he was a son of the late Carl and Catherine Coyne Frederick and was a graduate of the Pittston High School class of 1957.  After graduation, Carl enlisted in the United States Air Force and served until 1979, earning many medals and accomplishments in his career.  He was so proud about serving his Country under five U.S. presidents. 

He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish (Holy Redeemer Church), Harding. 

While serving in the Air Force, her married his High School sweetheart, Jean (Lynch) Frederick on July 25th, 1961.  Together, Carl and Jean went on to have three daughters.  As a family, the traveled across the Country for his military career.  Unfortunately, we lost Jean too soon on July 10th, 1986.  From that moment on, Carl’s greatest adventure was spending time with his children, and eventually grandchildren and great grandchildren.   His favorite days would include family, black coffee, and Hours of watching golf on tv. 

He was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life, Jean (Lynch) Frederick in 1986, sister Elizabeth (Betty) Hadley and her husband Thomas, brother Robert Frederick and his wife Irene.

Carl is survived by his daughters, Ann Marie Headman, Harding, Donna Seeley, West Wyoming, Sharon Gadomski and husband Ben, Falls, grandchildren, Dayna Kiwak and her partner, Jon McDermott, Carl Kiwak, Jennifer Gadomski and fiancé, Alex Felker, Ashley French and husband T.J., Brianna Headman and partner Earl Chang, great grandchildren, Bailey, Aiden, Conor, Elliana and Audrey, sister Dolores Orlando and husband Dave, nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be held Monday morning at 10am from the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am. in Corpus Christi Parish at 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston with Monsignor John Sempa as the celebrant.   Interment will be in St. Mary’s the Assumption Cemetery, Rock Street, Hughestown where Military honors will take place.  Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 5pm until 8pm. at the Funeral home.

In lieu of flowers may be made to the American Heart Association at PO Box 840692, Dallas, Tx., 75284-0692.
