Lucio Pellegrini, 88, of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday November 13, 2023. Born in San Donato, Italy, December 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Antonio and Lucia Pellegrini.
He moved to the United States with his parents at the age of 15 where he attended Chelsea High School. He loved sports, especially soccer and baseball; he would reminisce with his family about playing soccer with his friends on Sundays as a young man. Later, when his parents moved the family to the Bronx, his love for the NY Yankees developed. After graduation, he started his career as a Labor Foreman for Morse Diesel Construction in New York City, where he worked until he retired 35 years later.
After retiring, he and his wife moved to Fairless Hills, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Lou, as everyone called him, loved a good Sudoku and Word Search puzzle. He loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Let’s Make a Deal.
He is survived by his wife Maria, his son Paul and wife Judy, and his Daughter-in-law Toni. His grandchildren Margaret Pellegrini, Lucio Pellegrini and his wife Danielle, Anthony Pellegrini and his wife Tina. Lou was the proud great grandfather to Donato, Gianna, Avery, Vincenzo, Niko and Layla. He was the brother to Marie (Bob) Savino and Uncle to many. Lucio was predeceased by his son Ralph and his Daughter-in-law Nancy, (Margaret and Anthony’s Mother.)
Known for kindness and generosity, he was a true gentleman. He will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
