Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Edward and Marie Gallagher Sulima and was a graduate of the Pittston Schools.  After high school he attended Temple University where he received his doctorate degree in Automotive studies.  Walter also attended Luzerne County Community College always wanting to learn more about a profession he was so passionate about.  He was enlisted in the National Guard Reserves, Fort Indiantown Gap.

He was a former member of St. Mary the Assumption Church, Pittston.

Walter was a member of the Scranton Tennis club, Tennis Club, Clarks Summit.  He was an avid tennis player and played competitive tennis for years.   He attended the U.S Open several times.

Everyone who knew Buzz knew where to find him.   His garage Buzz’s in Avoca.    He ran his garage taking care of customers for over 50 years.

Buzz also taught at the Luzerne County Community College for 35 years and also in his younger days taught at several General Motors plants and at several military bases throughout the Country.

General Motors wanted Buzz to move to Detroit and work there with is knowledge of cars to teach workers.  He chose not to go to stay and take care of his mother.  Everything you ever wanted to know about cars he had the answers and if not, he would sure figure it out.    He was asked by the government to take a job over seas in trouble shooting their Tuff books during the conflict in Iraq.    He inspected race cars at Maple Grove race track.  He also had a love for boating.  Buzz could be found for years at Lake Wallenpaupack on the water or floating near his boat relaxing.
