Antoinette Loretta Distasio Hall, 88, of Pittston passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2024.

Annie was loved by all and lived her life with a kind, compassionate spirit that was contagious. Born to the late Cesidio Distasio and Emma Gregorio Distasio, Annie developed a devoted sense of family early on.

After graduating from Hughestown High with honors, she met her late husband, Edward G. Hall, the love of her life, and raised a family with him over 64 years together.

She was a member of the Harding Church of Christ, Harding.

While doting on her four children, Annie cared for her mother and in-laws throughout their final years and found strength to be available for everyone in her life. Her selfless, caring spirit continued to support family and friends until her death and remains an example of a truly wonderful person.

Known affectionately as Mommer, Toni, or Aunt Annie, she was continually a source of love and guidance that will be greatly missed.

Annie was active in her community as a member of the Golden Age Club, the Cosmopolitans, and the Jacquelines.  In recent years, she dearly enjoyed spending time with her gal pals from the Centermoreland Tops Club and Book Club at the Harding Church of Christ, where she has been a member for 40 years and where friends became family.  A lifelong avid reader, she also enjoyed Scrabble, pinochle, game shows, and a nightly call to her dear cousin, Theresa.

Preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Hall; sister, Virgina Graham; and brother, Gerald Disastio.

Surviving are brother, Cesidio Joseph and wife, Carol Distasio, Coplay; daughter Victoria and husband, Thaddeus Prekel, Tunkhannock; son Edward and wife, Linda Hall, Euless, TX; Brian and wife, Suzanne Hall, Tunkhannock; Aaron and wife, Laura Hall, Pittston; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited for a visitation for Annie on Saturday from 9am until 11am at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston.  A service will begin at 11am. with the Pastor Dan Shisson, Harding Church of Christ, officiating.   Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
