Patricia D. Nayavich Obituary

Patricia D. Nayavich, 81, of Dupont, passed away Thursday morning May 30th, 2024 in Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.


Born in San Jose, California, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Merle Nadine Mercer.   She graduated from the Abraham Lincoln High School in California.  She was a member of the Holy Mother of Sorrow Polish National Church, Dupont.


Patricia loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   She adored every one of them.   She loved to travel and also enjoyed her trips to the casino to play the slots.  Patricia also loved to sing.  She also sang in the Church choir.


She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendi Lee Kelley in 2018.


Patricia is survived by her husband of 36 years, Joseph Nayavich, children, Jacqueline Mills, Pittston, Gregory Rozelle and his wife Michelle, Ohio, Joseph Nayavich Jr. and his wife Bonnie, Duryea, Amy Williams and Fiancé Dean Hartenstine, Orwigsburg, Pa, grandchildren, Amanda Willard, Samantha Messick, Taylor Segars, Brittani Rivera, Kyle Himlin, Christopher Fegal, Brandon Cupano, Nicholas Nayavich, Meagan Nayavich, Isabelle Williams, Lyla Nayavich, David Williams, 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Pam Espandola, California, and several nieces and nephews.


A visitation will be held on Thursday June 6th, 2024 from 5pm until 7pm at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 7th, 2024 at 10am. in Holy Mother of Sorrow Polish National Church at 212 Wyoming Avenue, Dupont.  Everyone is asked to go directly to Church on Friday morning.


Inurnment will be held in St. John’s Cemetery, Duryea.
